….and taking long walks with my husband. I cry easily, happy or sad, pixar movie or based on a true story movie. I love having a fresh cup of coffee in hand, accompanied by biscotti or dark chocolate. I dream about being able to add the title “chef” to my list of abilities. I can’t figure out chopsticks. I hyper-organize my Pinterest boards. I love a classic wardrobe that never truly goes out of style. And the season of fall is where my heart is. .
I spent my growing up years in Texas. I met my husband, Jason, my freshman year of college in Kentucky. He was the handsome, actively involved, well-loved senior and I was the shy, nervous, wide-eyed freshman. We met on his birthday, September 15th, 2007, and as I walked away from him that day the friends that introduced us said to each other, “Jason needs a girlfriend.” And I thought to myself, “what if that were me?” The crush was formed rather instantly and it’s deepened every day since. He’s rather wonderful. We are dreamers and creatives together and there’s no one I’d rather share a cup of coffee, a good book, or an adventure with.
3 years ago, though it feels like yesterday, we were blessed with our little beauty, Anna Kate. This girl is completely identical to us in many ways and the absolute opposite to us in others. She teaches me so much about being brave, thoughtful, and enjoying the beauty of ordinary things. She’s my passionate, imaginative, strong, and tender little side-kick, and the perfect person to lick the cake batter spoon with.
This blog is pieces of our life and of our hearts. The moments of our days, the little things we enjoy, the food we make, the dreams we have, and the journeys we walk — all founded on the grace we receive everyday from our Savior. We pray that His beauty and glory be displayed.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. I’m truly thankful you did.
